This secluded creekside location is situated on three acres with a private drive back off Highway 12 surrounded by beautiful wetlands and a naturalized setting. Just feet from your door is a winding creek that is a haven for shore birds, osprey and wildlife, and leads directly to the Pamlico Sound.
Nestled among the cedars this private, 1 room fully furnished efficiency guest cottage is adjacent to the main house (the owner's residence). With an innovative design, this cozy cottage and its unique charm is the perfect couple’s escape.
The layout of this vacation rental consists of a climate controlled queen bedroom for your sleeping comfort and a full bath, plus an attached screened porch for a covered extension of open-air living space. The entry deck opens to a spacious furnished deck with both sun and shade and features an outside tiled countertop, sink, table with seating and, for the outdoor cooking enthusiasts, a propane grill and a 2 burner camp-style cooktop. Also included is an outside shower (with hot and cold water).
A private hot tub for your relaxation and enjoyment of the tranquil outdoor surroundings is also located on this deck.
Amenities
The three-season screened porch is fully furnished and includes a ceiling fan, comfortable seating, a Smart TV and side bistro table. The kitchenette, has a refrigerator/freezer and sink with hot and cold water. For your added comfort, the screens have clear vinyl panels in place during the cooler spring and fall weeks on Hatteras Island.
Inside the cottage is the climate controlled comfort (heat and air conditioned) of the bedroom with 1 queen size bed, and includes a ceiling fan, Smart TV, DVD player, and a full bath with shower.
Private parking for one vehicle is available just outside the door.
